The new season beckons! Arrangements for the new junior cricket season are as follows:
Training Session - each Monday from Monday 15th April to Monday 19th August (excluding Bank Holidays) Times: 6.15pm to 7.45pm (although on sunny nights this will run later by prior arrangement). Ages - school year 2 to school year 10
Training fees for this season are slightly reduced and will be either £3.00 per week or £30.00 for the season (17 weeks). To encourage more juniors to become members of the club, we are able to offer an overall reduced cost of £53.00 - this will cover summer training fees and full junior membership of the club - normally £63 in total. Membership of the club entitles a junior to use all of the club's facilities, this obviously includes the cricket nets - in past seasons many non members have used the nets, this season we will be stopping this to ensure that members have first option with use. Users of the nets will be challenged for membership cards and asked to leave unless they are able to provide, this may seem a little mean, however, I must point out that non members of the club are not insured whilst using the club's facilities unless they are invited guests of the club. The Monday night training sessions act as an invitation to non members and members alike and other than improptu sessions arranged by club coaches, the use of the nets is limited to members. Don't forget membership also entitles juniors to use the squash courts, tennis courts and free admittance to the Lancashire County Championship match being held at the club just after Whitsun (Wed 29th May to Sat 1st June) along with the other sports at the club.
The relevant forms to be completed and brought to the first sessionl can be found at http://www.liverpoolcricketclub.co.uk/membership.asp. If for any reason you can't attend the first couple of sessions please send your completed forms in straight away (to the club address) as invitations are being sent to local schools to get new players which will mean after the first week the attendance will increase and we would not want you to miss out (groups will be limited to 15).
At each of the following sessions it is essential that players register, this is for health & safety reasons.
If the weather looks a bit 'iffy' on the day, the club website will be updated by 4pm to let you know if the session for that evening is being cancelled (www.liverpoolcricketclub.co.uk) - please try to avoid telephoning the club or coaches on these days.
