ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR 3rd/4th XI SUNDAY GAMES
Please note the following updated criteria for the above games, two regulations from LDCC regulations 4.1.2 and 7.6 apply;
4.1.2. - Cover 'fixture locking' - any rearranged games (viz on Sundays) are considered 'locked' to the original date & therefore for selection purposes we have to assume that the rearranged game is played on the original scheduled date. The first fixture that this affects is the 3rd XI game against Goodlass which has been rearranged 0n Sunday 28th April from Saturday 13th July - anyone who plays in the rearranged game is thus ineligible for ANY team on the original date as it would not ordinarily be possible for anyone to be in two places at the same time!!! This regulation applies to all players regardless of their age.
7.6 - States that no more than 3 players who have played 1st or 2nd XI cricket on the previous day can play in a 3rd or 4th XI Sunday game as long as the player(s) concerned have played 50% or more of their matches at 3rd/4th XI on an eleven match count back based on each players individual record. Under 18's are exempt from this regulation. The eleven match count back includes the previous season. |
