Liverpool CC U13’s & U15’s information for summer 2017 – Parents please read
Although the training for the u7, u9 and u11 has moved back to Monday evenings, training for the u13 & u15 Liverpool Cricket Club sides will remain on a Friday evening and will start on Friday 28th April from 6.15 – 7.45 (please note that the session on 5th May will start once the Lancashire v Northampton 50 over game has finished)
Both the u13 & u15 will have a manager and a coach this season – the manager will arrange the fixtures and be responsible for picking the team and informing the players. The coach will be responsible for working with the players both in training and on match day
U13 Manager – Kenny Harper
U13 Coach – Matty Jackson
U15 Manager – Andy Dunsmore
U15 Coach – To be confirmed
The reason behind the training nights being split up is to recognise that the u13 & u15 cricket is more competition based and designed around preparation for not only the junior matches but also potentially a first step into senior cricket
There will also be a change to the fees charged for the u13/u15 age groups. With a potential 14 training sessions and 12+ matches for the u13s there is going to be a flat rate charge of £45. There will be no additional charge if boys are asked to play for the u15s
For the u15s this will be £55 to take account of not only 14 training sessions but also a lot more matches – the u15s last year played 17 matches
In the past we have usually only charged for training sessions and then picked our sides based on training sessions but the u15 numbers tend to drop off and last season boys who didn’t attend one training sessions ended up playing 15+ matches (at great expense to the club) . Rather than messing about and charging per training session and on a match by match basis we feel that £55 is very reasonable for 14 training sessions and upwards of 15 matches
We look forward to seeing you on Friday 28th April and if you have any questions please contact the relevant age manager
Please note that all u13 & u15 players should be junior members of the club – the club is going to be very strict this season on ensuring that only members of the club have access to our nets – they will be locked at all times and keys will only be released on production of your membership card. Junior membership offers very good value – for only £33 a junior member has access to our nets, tennis, squash, our gym area, rugby, hockey as well as free tickets for the Lancashire county games, the tennis tournaments and other events. Even better value is for a parent to sign up for social membership for £55 which entitles them to one free junior membership.
Membership forms can be found here:
*Please note, you need to go to bar to organise membership, please fill out forms and take payment after 5pm.
With regards to training fees please bring along to session or speak to Jez Clein( Cricket Chairman) and he will give out our bank account for direct debit payment.
