Men’s 3s Chalk Up a 7-0 Win Against Wrexham

Not so much of a shock as last week’s win against Colwyn Bay, as Wrexham had at the time -8 points. They now, consequently, still have -8 points. We got 3 more.

A wonder strike from Rob Diggle opened the scoring, no-one able to stop the ball crossing the line at breakneck speed from 3yds. I came on for the second goal, one of those moments where the opposition forget to stop you running a 5 yard hit into the D and shooting into the net. Another goal quickly followed, and left a gentle-ish half time talk at 3-0.

More goals rained in during the second half; and through a mix of selfishness but mostly forgetfulness, I scored another at the near post, Grant scored once, Jake scored one and Gabriel scored one. The only other goal I remember is the customary PC flick by Rob.

A final score of 7-0 finished the weekend well. Ged Ward – tea at The Railway was lovely. Wonderful service, good food, and well, you know ……

Home against Neston next week, let’s get down there early lads and support the women’s 1s in their survival bid!
