Women’s 4s Lose to Top of the Table Formby 3s

After last week’s victory Sefton were looking to keep up the winning streak, albeit against the table-topping (and VERY experienced) Formby 3s. The first half saw Formby holding possession well and applying plenty of pressure. Sefton’s defence held strong for the first part of the half but with relentless attacking and strong passing from Formby we conceded the first goal which was shortly followed by a skilful second. Sefton spirits seemed to decline and defence wavered, Formby using this to their advantage by putting away a further 3 goals. First half ended 0-5.

Into the second half after a quick but stern team talk. Refocusing, Sefton put their all into defence and made it difficult for Formby to score; this was helped by some fantastic goalkeeping from Bev. Despite having a goal disallowed in the second half Formby did manage to nick another.

Final score 0-6.
