It was great to see our under 9s win the annual Maghull Tournament in aid of Zoe’s Place on the 1st of July. Liverpool Thunder won four on the bounce including a closely fought final against last year’s winners Ormskirk Blue to lift the trophy.

The players’ enthusiasm in the nets all through the winter and summer and the experience gained from a bumper fixture list with two and sometimes three teams playing every Sunday is certainly paying off.

We’re looking forward to the upcoming Poynton and Ainsdale tournaments and more beyond…
