On a lovely sunny evening, Liverpool hosted Sefton Park B in an MYC league match.

In a tightly contested affair, Liverpool won the game as Sefton were unfortunately only able to field a reduced team – but Liverpool provided some resources to enable an great game to take place.

Sefton batted first and put on 287, thanks mainly to their opening pair who also closed out the innings.  Liverpool only took one wicket, Sanjay taking 1-9 in his three overs.

In reply, Liverpool again made some poor decisions and three run outs for the second successive game shows that there is much to improve on – starting hopefully this coming Friday at Old Xavs.

Man of the match was Ashton Webb for his excellent keeping and hard hitting at the end of the innings.
