Liverpool U11s recorded their second comprehensive victory of the season here. Liverpool fielded a strong team and captain Oscar Roots put the hosts into bat.
Steady bowling and regular wickets meant that Widnes’ innings never really got started and they ended up with a very modest 207 after their 16 overs. In response, Liverpool’s top batsmen all made telling contributions and again Rohan Wijesinghe top-scored with 23 not out.
Liverpool’s total of 313 meant a resounding 106 run win. Man of the match for his exceptional wicket keeping was Pascal Jones who looks every inch born to be a wicket keeper (well, they are a bit mad aren’t they???!)
