TENNIS
Despite 2 years without home courts, our tennis section THRIVED!
- Two teams promoted, one as undefeated champions.
- Senior league player of the year: Martin Green.
- Under 16 League Player of the year; Nik Paul.
- Lancashire League Under 16 Doubles Champions 🥇
This all achieved despite us having no ‘home courts’ to play on for nearly two years and losing a large number of members to other clubs.
We are now actively recruiting new women members in order that we can enter into the 2026 Liverpool Tennis Ladies League for the first time in 5 years.

BOWLS
Pensioners’ League Team
Came third in a highly competitive league and reached the final of the Savage Trophy knockout competition, where they narrowly lost on a neutral green.
The Wednesday A team
Back in the top division of the Garston League in 2025 following our league victory in the second division in 2024 where we obtained a very creditable 4th place finish.
Highlight matches included-
Our first win at Mossley Hill in a long time against their B team.
A solid home victory against a strong Halewood A team.
An excellent home win in our final game of the season versus Mossley Hill A team who were challenging for the league.
League Cup Competition: The Kerr Shield
The team really excelled however when we reached the final, we played Grant who were top of the league table. In an incredibly tight match, we were pipped to the post, only losing by 7 points.
Despite the disappointment of coming so close, we can look back on a fantastic cup run with pride. It was especially pleasing to have a substantial number of non-A team members in attendance, cheering the team on. Many thanks to those who came to show their support.
The Wednesday B team
A very successful year achieving a win against Aigburth St Michaels A team, who are a top team in the highest league, in a Cup competition.
